I’ve been trying to find a great fall/winter jacket for quite some time. I’m getting sick of the plain old leather moto-jacket, or the wool trench coats that seem to flood to the streets as soon as it gets a little bit colder. In surfing the web, I came across THIS beautiful piece.
It’s a 3.1 Phillip Lim jacket. It’s a cross between the leather and wool - a woollen body for the pea coat and leather sleeves. The perfect solution to my problems.
The reason I’ve fallen so very in love/lust with this jacket is because of the unique take that Phillip Lim has done on the regular peacoat. The body is a traditional double-breasted peacoat with notch lapels. However, it’s the leather sleeves that truly caught my attention. The sleeves have a distressed woven leather braiding on the sleeves with an exposed zipper by the cuff. THIS is the reason I have fallen in love with this beautiful piece. THIS is why I need this in my wardrobe for the fall season.
I would graciously throw away all my leathers and trench’s just to have this.
